Open Volunteer Positions
- AVP of Membership: duties include assisting VP of Membership with member recruitment and retention efforts. AVP position should be available for board meetings if VP is unavailable and should be able to step into the board position if the VP role become available. Volunteer time estimation: 5 hours a month.
- Membership Recruitment Chair: duties include contacting prospective members and encouraging AMA membership. Volunteer time estimation: 5 hours a month.
- Membership Retention Chair: duties include a contacting existing members and encouraging continued membership. Volunteer time estimation: 5 hours a month.
- Hospitality Chair: duties include running the check in table at events. This involves creating the name tags, lining up 2 to 4 assistants to help with check in, and managing the check in process. This position requires attendance to the monthly luncheons. Volunteer time estimation: 5 hours a month (this includes the time spent at the lunch).
- AVP of Technology: duties include assisting VP of Technology with updates to this website. AVP position should be available for board meetings if VP is unavailable and should be able to step into the board position if the VP role become available. Volunteer time estimation: 3 hours a month.
- AVP of Special Events: duties include assisting VP of Special Events. Special Events include any socials planned throughout the year. Currently, social are scheduled for December 2009, February 2010, March 2010, and June 2010. AVP position should be available for board meetings if VP is unavailable and should be able to step into the board position if the VP role become available. Volunteer time estimation: 5 hours a month.
- AVP of Sponsorship: duties includ assisting the VP of Sponsorships. This will include finding sponsors for the chapter and for events. AVP position should be available for board meetings if VP is unavailable and should be able to step into the board position if the VP role become available. Volunteer time estimation: 5 hours a month.
